  • Varnished. Examined under ultra-violet light. A number of small retouches, as follows: to the impasto at left-center of picture; at the bottom right corner and along the bottom edge; in the left corner approximately 4 in. (1 0.1 cm.) from the bottom;
    and several scattered spots along the left and top edges. T he colors in the catalogue illustration are too red overall; the background is more brick-red in the original. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.
