Other | Not in D'Atri papers ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the study made during the Musée de Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, Modigliani exhib. cat., 1981, pp. 41-44, pl. 20,21 by Suzy Delbourgo and Lola Faillant-Dumas the conclussion is that the Xray are absolutelly incompatible with Modigliani way of painting. The canvas is reused and the drawing is not similar at any point to Modigliani sketching on canvas. Therefore this painting is a forgery. (the museum has never ever think about destroying it, because that would be a nonsense) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Signature: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
