Dimensions

92.3 × 54.5 cm (height × width; Ohara / published reproductions). An earlier reading in this investigation reversed the two figures. MR gives 54.5 × 93 cm, which appears to use the same reversed order. Pfannstiel gave 92 × 64 cm.

Holes are visible at the four corners; two are covered.

Fingerprints in fresh green oil are recorded on three edges of the canvas.

After cleaning, passages that had appeared blue read as green once a yellowed surface layer was removed.

This investigation compares three related portraits of the same sitter in the same sweater, dated 1918 and 1919.
