Restellini mentions in " l'Ange du visage grave" p. 232 that this painting has the same "inspiration"as Antonia:

Just a simple look to the brushwork in close up show they could not be more different:

comparation Antonia - fantesca

1.- Antonia is a classical sculptural composition made in color shades with small touches that reminds the macchiaioli style brushwork painters of his youth (look at small green little dots outside the face contour)
2.- Fantesca is a plain color filled composition of black line with almost a null relief brushwork.
